Oman is fast emerging as a logistics powerhouse, moving beyond its traditional role as a transit hub to become a destination in global trade. Digital initiatives, including the Bayan Single Window and e-documentation systems, are likely to cut customs dwell times between 20 and 30 per cent. Infrastructure projects such as the Khazaen Dry Port, the Suhar–Khazaen–Al Wajajah corridor and the Hafeet Rail Project are reshaping connectivity across the GCC and Africa. The Sultanate targets production of up to 1.25 million tonnes of green hydrogen annually by 2030. By aligning logistics with sustainability and Vision 2040 goals, Oman is positioning itself as a stable, efficient and green global trade hub.
