Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has entered a strategic cargo partnership with Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh Air to expand its global freight operations and strengthen connectivity across major trade routes. Effective from 29 October, the strategic cargo partnership agreement will enhance PIA’s cargo capacity and streamline distribution through Riyadh’s growing logistics network.
Under the collaboration, cargo from Pakistan and London will be routed to Riyadh for onward transport to destinations across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. The partnership aims to create a seamless cargo network, enabling faster and more efficient freight movement while optimising operational efficiency for both carriers.
The agreement marks a key milestone in PIA’s modernisation and business revival plan, which focuses on innovation, strategic partnerships, and expanding revenue streams. It also positions Pakistan as an emerging logistics hub linking regional and global markets.
With global air cargo demand continuing to grow, the collaboration with Riyadh Air reinforces PIA’s ambition to compete more effectively in the international logistics sector. The partnership reflects both airlines’ shared commitment to strengthening regional connectivity and supporting global trade flows through advanced, integrated cargo solutions.
