ProConnect, the logistics and supply chain business of Redington, has opened a 400,000 sq ft logistics centre in Riyadh, adding capacity for warehousing, fulfilment and distribution in Saudi Arabia. The facility is part of a 2.1 million sq ft logistics community and has more than 50,000 pallet positions, 160,000 shelving locations and 41 loading bays.

The centre supports frozen, chilled, ambient and dry storage, with temperature-controlled areas ranging from -24°C to +24°C. It is also SFDA compliant and ISO certified, allowing businesses in regulated sectors to use the facility for specialised storage requirements.

Technology at the centre includes a Warehouse Management System, smart dock management, AI-enabled dimension capture and real-time tracking. More than 190 CCTV cameras are also in place for security and monitoring.

The new capacity can help businesses manage larger and more complex supply chains as operations expand across Saudi Arabia. Multi-temperature storage and digital inventory controls can also improve the movement and tracking of goods.

“Supply chains today need to be more agile, visible and responsive to changing business requirements,” said Chidambaram S, President, Supply Chain & ProConnect, Redington. “This facility has been designed with those needs at its core, combining scale with technology and operational expertise.”
