The Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) has launched the second phase of its initiative to optimise air routes over Egyptian airspace, aiming to enhance regional air cargo efficiency. The announcement was made in Cairo by Mohamed bin Faleh Al-Hajri, in-charge of Managing QCAA and Egyptian Civil Aviation Minister His Excellency Dr. Sameh El-Hefny. The new phase includes a partial redesign of Egyptian airspace within the Cairo Flight Information Region and continued training of Egyptian air traffic controllers on the free route airspace (FRA) system to increase capacity. The project, backed by bilateral pacts and multiple MoUs, supports plans to boost air cargo flight volumes between the two nations.
