Qatar’s Export Unit Value Index rose 17.64% year-on-year in Q2 2026 and 6.45% from Q1, reflecting higher values across goods moving through the country’s export trade network, according to the National Planning Council.

Chemicals recorded the strongest increase, with export unit values rising 34.73%. Mineral fuels, lubricants and related materials, which account for 88.77% of the index, rose 4.25%.

Manufactured goods classified chiefly by material increased 3.31%, while crude materials rose 3.14%. Machinery and transport equipment recorded a 0.50% increase.

The rise in export values supports Qatar’s position as a key cargo and trade hub, with energy, chemicals and manufactured goods forming important parts of its outbound trade flows. Higher-value exports can also support demand for freight, cargo handling, storage and related logistics services.

For logistics operators, the growth highlights opportunities to support Qatar’s expanding trade links and the movement of a wider range of goods to international markets.

The index tracks changes in the value of exported goods, using 2018 as its base year.
