Qatar Airways Cargo (QR Cargo) and Cainiao have announced a partnership to accelerate cross-border e-commerce. The partnership was formalised at the Cainiao Global Smart Logistics Summit in Hangzhou recently. The pact, signed by Mark Drusch, Chief Officer Cargo, QR Cargo, and Wan Lin, CEO, Cainiao, will double Cainiao’s weekly charter flights on China–Europe routes. The collaboration enhances speed, flexibility and reliability of merchants. It aligns with Cainiao’s vision of achieving global 72-hour delivery. Both companies stressed the partnership’s role in addressing rising e-commerce demand and reinforcing trade flows between China and Europe, positioning it as a key driver of future global logistics growth. “China is the most important trade partners globally, playing a pivotal role in the evolution of e-commerce and continuing to drive the highest demand for air cargo capacity worldwide,” Mark Drusch said.
