RAK expands port and supply chain ties

Ras Al Khaimah has signed 11 agreements with Chinese entities to expand trade links and cooperation in port logistics, green supply chains and sustainable building materials, supporting cargo movement between the UAE and China.
The agreements include cooperation with Fujian Province on port logistics and supply chains, linking Ras Al Khaimah’s ports and industrial base with China’s manufacturing sector. The partnership also aims to support joint projects in sustainable building materials.
Other deals include an agreement between Marjan Group and China Road and Bridge Corporation, and a partnership between Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) and Fujian Jihong Packaging Technology.
The agreements are expected to strengthen industrial and logistics links between the two markets. Ras Al Khaimah’s ports and economic zones provide access to regional markets, while Fujian has a strong manufacturing base in electronics, machinery and petrochemicals.
Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, said: “Signing this friendship agreement with Fujian Province cements a partnership rooted in mutual respect, shared ambition and centuries of maritime connection, which creates a formal foundation for our communities and enterprises to collaborate more closely.”
