Refad develops new dry warehouse in Saudi Arabia

Refad Real Estate Investment and Development Company is developing a 12,000sqm Grade A dry warehouse at King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, with completion expected in 2027. The facility will be built on an 18,500sqm site and will include seven loading bays, reinforced flooring and space for trucks and logistics operations.
The warehouse will have a maximum height of 18.8 metres and 670sqm of administrative space. Its electrical and technical systems will also allow it to be adapted for ambient-temperature storage in the future.
The development comes as Saudi Arabia expands its logistics infrastructure to support growing trade and industrial activity. Warehouses close to ports can reduce the distance between cargo arrival, storage and onward distribution, helping logistics operators manage goods more efficiently. The facility’s location at King Abdulaziz Port could also support faster movement of imported and exported goods by providing storage capacity close to key transport links.
Abdulhadi AlQahtani, Managing Director of “Refad” Real Estate Investment and Development Company, said: “This project reflects Refad’s goal of creating a diversified and specialized real estate portfolio while strengthening our presence in the logistic real estate sector, essential to Saudi Arabia’s economic future. We aim to develop premium properties in strategic locations that serve the economy and key industries, delivering sustainable value for our partners and operators. This initiative aligns with Refad’s strategic goals and supports Saudi Vision 2030’s objectives of economic diversification, private sector empowerment, and enhancing the Kingdom's competitiveness and position as a global industrial and logistics hub.”
