Robots from Nordic Dino Robotics AB are making their presence felt in several aviation and cargo operations, including ground handling and passenger service. Jo Alex Tanem, CEO of the company said, “With advancements in AI and automation, the industry is exploring the concept of autonomous aircraft. These pilotless flights rely on robotic systems that can control flight operations and make real-time decisions based on complex algorithms. While the idea of a flighting flying without pilots may raise concerns, such systems can enhance safety and efficiency by eliminating human errors and fatigue-related risks.” He said ground handling procedures might soon have some changes as an outdoor-based baggage-loading system is under development. “This system aims to automate loading and unloading of loose passenger bags from narrow-bodied aircraft, streamlining the ground handling process and enhancing operational efficiency.”
