The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s SAL Logistics Services has taken its first step into the international arena through a new partnership with Hong Kong-based TAM Group, aimed at strengthening air cargo links between the Kingdom and China.SAL CEO Omar Hariri said the partnership opens the door for Chinese companies to use Saudi Arabia as a gateway to global markets, powered by SAL’s integrated logistics capabilities. TAM Group’s Senior Vice President Alvin Tam added that the cooperation would combine both companies’ strengths to expand air cargo connectivity and support the fast-evolving logistics sector between Asia and the Middle East. The agreement, signed during the Transport Logistic Southeast Asia Exhibition in Singapore, signals SAL’s entry into the Chinese market, a key milestone in its plan to expand globally. The move comes as trade between Saudi Arabia and China continues to grow, especially in e-commerce and manufacturing. Under the partnership, both companies will work together to enhance freight operations and develop efficient logistics solutions that support smoother movement of goods between the two countries. The collaboration also aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to position the Kingdom as a leading global logistics hub.
