SAL Zones signs MoU for aerospace logistics hub

SAL Zones has signed an MoU with Advanced Aircraft Technology to explore specialised logistics infrastructure for aviation and aerospace projects in Saudi Arabia. The agreement covers facilities for aircraft spare parts, engines, equipment and related materials, as well as logistics solutions designed around the operational needs of the sector.
The two sides will explore integrated services covering storage, transport, distribution, cargo handling, customs-related services and re-export operations. The MoU also includes investment and leasing opportunities within the SAL Logistics Zone in Mulham, including the potential development of an integrated logistics hub for Advanced Aircraft Technology’s aviation and aerospace projects.
The planned facilities could help aviation and aerospace companies manage high-value equipment and parts through dedicated storage and logistics services. Integrating transport, handling and customs-related services could also improve the movement of components across supply chains and support the operational requirements of projects in the sector.
It forms part of SAL Zones’ efforts to develop logistics zones serving specialised and high-value sectors and their supply chains. The collaboration also supports Saudi Arabia’s wider logistics development under Vision 2030 and the National Transport and Logistics Strategy.
