Saudia Cargo launches Riyadh-Melbourne route

Saudia Cargo has launched a new scheduled freighter service connecting Riyadh and Melbourne, Australia. The route, operated by a Boeing 747-400 freighter with more than 100 tonnes of capacity, will support cargo movement between Saudi Arabia and Australia.

The new service is expected to improve trade links by providing additional air cargo capacity for businesses moving goods between the two markets. It will support shipments including perishables, pharmaceuticals, industrial equipment and e-commerce cargo, helping exporters and importers access more efficient transport options.

The Riyadh-Melbourne route was launched in response to market demand and will contribute to stronger supply chain connections between the Middle East and Australia. Saudia Cargo said the service is part of its wider network expansion plans to support growing cargo demand.
