Saudia Cargo and Tibah Airports have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to improve air cargo operations at Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport. The agreement includes cooperation on cargo handling, operational planning, customer services, and incentives aimed at increasing cargo movement through the airport.

The partnership is expected to support cargo growth in Medina by improving coordination between the airport operator and cargo carrier. The companies said they will work on joint initiatives, exchange operational knowledge, and organise workshops to improve efficiency in cargo processes.

The agreement also includes plans to offer special rates and incentives for cargo operations at the airport. This could help attract more freight activity and support businesses moving goods through western Saudi Arabia.

The move reflects wider efforts in Saudi Arabia to strengthen air cargo infrastructure and increase the role of regional airports in trade and logistics. Better coordination between airport operators and cargo airlines can reduce delays, improve shipment handling, and provide more routing options for freight forwarders and exporters.
