SmartTrack by Etihad Cargo for real-time shipment monitoring

Etihad Cargo has unveiled, SmartTrack, setting a new standard in air freight transparency, said Stanislas Brun, Chief Cargo Officer, Etihad Airways. Launched at Air Cargo Europe 2025 in Munich, SmartTrack makes Etihad Cargo the first global carrier to implement this advanced smart tracking technology. Developed with Tag-N-Trac, the solution uses smart labels with GPS, cellular, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi connectivity to monitor location, temperature, humidity, shock, tilt, and light exposure—ideal for sensitive cargo such as pharma and electronics. SmartTrack is designed with a focus on efficiency and sustainability. The smart label, which can remain active for up to 30 days, features minimal packaging and eliminates the need for return logistics. “This launch combines simplicity, intelligence and automation to reinforce our commitment to smarter and transparent logistics,” Brun added.
