SolitAir adds Bucharest to EU cargo network

SolitAir has launched a new cargo route between Dubai World Central (DWC) and Bucharest’s Otopeni International Airport in Romania, expanding its European network to two EU destinations. The service strengthens direct air freight connectivity between the UAE and Southeast Europe, supporting trade flows between Middle East, European and wider global markets.

The new route follows SolitAir’s recent ACC3 designation, which allows the carrier to transport cargo and mail into the European Union and European Economic Area under EU security requirements. The approval enables the airline to operate scheduled freighter services to EU markets.

Romania is becoming an important logistics hub in Southeast Europe, supported by its access to the Black Sea, the Port of Constanța and growing regional transport links. The new connection is expected to support movement of industrial goods, machinery, food products and other cargo between the UAE and Romania.
