SolitAir has expanded its network into the Caucasus region with its first flight to Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. This marks a new connection for the airline into a region located between Europe, the Middle East, and Eurasia, where cross-border trade depends heavily on air links.

The move is important because Armenia is a landlocked country and does not have direct access to seaports. As a result, air cargo plays a key role in keeping goods moving in and out of the country. Faster and more reliable air connections help reduce delays in supply chains and support regular trade flows.

The region’s trade is increasingly focused on high-value and time-sensitive goods such as electronics, pharmaceuticals, precision parts, and fresh produce. These products need consistent transport conditions and short transit times. New air routes like this help improve access to global markets and give local exporters and importers more stable options.

The addition of Yerevan also adds another link between major trade corridors connecting Europe, the Middle East, and wider Eurasian markets. For the air cargo sector, it reflects a continued shift toward serving smaller but strategically located markets that rely on dependable connectivity to participate in global trade
