SPARK Logistics inks 2 deals to explore leasing prospects in KSA

SPARK Logistics has signed two MoUs with ESAB and Petromasafi to explore leasing opportunities, Saif Al Qahtani, Chairman, SPARK Logistics, said. The company is a JV between King Salman Energy Park (SPARK) and Hutchison Ports, operator of the SPARK dry port and these MoUs will facilitate the leasing of existing prebuilt facilities located within the SPARK’s dry port bonded area.

“These agreements are in line with our commitment to localise the energy value chain and establish a leading industrial hub that offers global connectivity to the Saudi energy sector and beyond,” Al Qahtani added.

The agreements will enable the leasing of pre-built facilities, spanning an area of 15,000 square metre—light manufacturing and distribution centers for ESAB and Petromasafi. The facilities will be utilised for production, storage and distribution of vital equipment and chemicals. The agreements are also likely to generate 100 new jobs in KSA thereby bolstering the Saudi economy and fostering the development of local talent.
