Oman has launched Al Rawdah Special Economic Zone located on the UAE border, said Dr Yousuf Hamed al Balushi, Founder and CEO, Smart Investment Gateway. Backed by DP World and Oman’s OPAZ, the project enables fast cross-border cargo movement, reduced customs delays, streamlined operations for re-export and supply chain businesses. The zone offers direct access to Sohar and Jebel Ali ports and will feature a dry port capable of handling 1.24 million containers annually. The SEZ is expected to become a regional logistics hub, enhancing trade between Oman and UAE and supporting SMEs, manufacturers, and freight operators
