In an interview with CargoTalk Middle East, Hamdi Osman, CEO of SolitAir Holding, said the TIACA Executive Summit 2026 aims at strengthening preparedness, improving coordination across the cargo ecosystem and applying lessons learned from recent supply chain challenges.
Osman said the air cargo industry should focus on understanding what worked well during recent disruptions and use those experiences to improve future responses. He stressed that airlines, customs authorities, ground handlers and regulators must work together more closely to ensure the smooth movement of cargo during periods of uncertainty.
According to Osman, stronger coordination across the industry can help reduce bottlenecks, improve operational efficiency and support supply chain continuity. He added that regulatory issues, including traffic rights and foreign operator approvals, are becoming increasingly important as cargo networks expand across regions.
He also highlighted the role of air cargo in supporting global trade, particularly when other transport modes face limitations. Maintaining high operational standards and ensuring reliable execution remain critical priorities for the sector, he said.
Osman noted that technology and artificial intelligence are expected to play a larger role in cargo operations, helping companies improve efficiency and make faster decisions. The summit has brought together industry leaders to discuss current challenges, emerging opportunities and the future direction of the air cargo sector.
