Türkiye’s exports rose 2.9% year on year to $25.62 billion in July, the highest export value recorded for the month. Imports also increased 5.1% to $32.97 billion, showing continued growth in cross-border goods trade and supporting cargo movement between Türkiye, the Middle East and other key markets, according to data from TurkStat and the Trade Ministry.
Manufactured goods accounted for 94.4% of exports, driving demand for freight and logistics services. Germany was the largest export market at $2.04 billion, followed by the US, UK, Iraq and Italy. China was the largest source of imports at $5.04 billion, followed by Russia and Germany.
Between January and July, exports grew 3.4% to $161.54 billion, while imports increased 4.7% to $222.09 billion. Annualised exports reached $278.5 billion in July, up $9.2 billion from a year earlier.
The rise in goods trade supports road, air and sea freight activity connecting Türkiye with Europe, the Middle East and other markets. Its position between Asia and Europe also supports cross-border cargo flows, creating opportunities for transport, warehousing and other logistics services as trade volumes grow.
