UAE e-commerce set for AED67.2bn by 2030

The UAE’s e-commerce market reached AED42.2 billion in 2025, up from AED17.6 billion in 2020, and is forecast to reach AED67.2 billion by 2030, according to a report by EZDubai Logistics Hub and Euromonitor International. E-commerce accounted for 15.7% of total retail sales in 2025 and is expected to exceed 20% by 2030.
The growth is creating greater demand for efficient fulfilment, warehousing and last-mile delivery as more purchases move online. Digital payments, mobile commerce and Buy Now Pay Later services are also supporting higher online sales.
Across MENASA, e-commerce more than doubled to AED519.2 billion in 2025 from AED232.1 billion in 2020. The market is expected to reach AED909.3 billion by 2030.
Apparel and footwear was the UAE’s largest e-commerce category in 2025, worth AED11.4 billion, followed by consumer electronics and home care. Consumer appliances are expected to see strong growth through 2030.
Mohsen Ahmad, CEO of EZDubai Logistics Hub, said: “The UAE has established a highly advanced ecosystem supported by world-class digital and logistics infrastructure.”
The report also points to AI, quick commerce, social shopping and digital wallets as key trends shaping e-commerce and logistics demand.
