Dr Renu Singh Parmar, former Senior Economic Advisor, Indian Ministry of Civil Aviation, said, “The Gulf country could become a vital link in bypassing tariffs through repackaging and re-exporting. The new route is likely to be India, UAE to the USA because of repackaging in UAE free ports to lower the fees. The UAE is emerging as a critical trade node—offering logistical re-export options, warehousing, and compliance flexibility. India to USA is likely to use India to UAE to USA to leverage the UAE to reduce tariff exposure.”
