UAE–Malaysia pact to lower customs duties, boost logistics

His Excellency Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of Foreign Trade, met with the Malaysian Business Council in the UAE to expand market access, lower customs duties and streamline trade processes creating more opportunities for logistics, supply chain and investment collaboration. Malaysia and the UAE will sign the CEPA soon. Bilateral non-oil trade between the two nations reached US$ 5.5 billion in 2024 — H1 2025 posted US$ 3.3 billion — a 30.9 per cent YoY rise. His Excellency Al Zeyoudi said, “The CEPA will reduce customs duties and streamline trade processes across various sectors positioning the UAE and Malaysian companies for mutual growth.”
