Russian state nuclear firm, Rosatom, has confirmed it signed an agreement with UAE’s DP World to set up a JV logistics company to develop container transportation through the Arctic Sea, confirming a project announced in October this year. Since 2018, Rosatom has served as the infrastructure operator of the Northern Sea Route connecting Europe and Asia via the Arctic seas, the deal with one of the world’s top port operators is a tangible sign of Moscow’s ability to attract big international partners to the project. The announcement following a quick visit to UAE by Russian President Putin to the UAE this week.
