Uganda Airlines announced the expansion of its fleet as demand for air freight across Africa and the Middle East continues to grow. “The airlines operate A330 wide-bodies on global routes, offering significant belly space,” said Rohit Thakwani, CEO, Airglow Aviation Group. “We are in discussions with Boeing and Airbus about acquire dedicated freighters, and feasibility studies are underway. We expect to introduce these aircraft to strengthen cargo connectivity next year.” The airline is also exploring the acquisition of freighter planes to better serve regional and global markets.
