DHL cargo volumes up in Q2, but air gross profits slide

DHL Group registered a slight increase in year-on-year group revenue of both air cargo and sea freight. The revenues for Q2 grew by 3.6 per cent YoY to €1.5 billion, while air gross profits decreased by 16.9% to €245 million. The air cargo volumes grew by 5.3 per cent to 437,000 tonnes, while ocean volumes rose by 6.4 per cent. “Air and ocean freight volumes improved in the second quarter,” Melanie Kreis, Chief Financial Officer, DHL Group, said.
