DHL Global Forwarding is strengthening its operations in the Middle East and Africa through digital innovation and sustainable transport initiatives. Amadou Diallo, CEO of DHL Global Forwarding Middle East & Africa, said, “The company is leveraging AI-driven route planning, predictive analytics and its digital freight platform myDHLi to accelerate cargo turnaround and improve cost efficiency. As part of its sustainability agenda — DHL is piloting a hydrogen-powered truck in Saudi Arabia to explore low-emission long-haul transport solutions. The move aligns with DHL Group’s recent announcement of a €500 mn investment in the Middle East aimed at enhancing regional infrastructure and multimodal logistics including rail integration and strategic warehousing. Diallo noted that combining global expertise with deep local knowledge enables DHL to deliver scalable and sustainable solutions helping customers adapt to a rapidly evolving logistics environment.
