dnata has secured a renewed cargo ground handling licence at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol after a competitive tender. The agreement allows the company to continue handling air cargo operations at the airport for the next seven years, strengthening its role in one of Europe’s busiest freight hubs.
The renewal ensures continuity for cargo airlines using Schiphol, where dnata manages large volumes of import and export freight. This is important for supply chains that depend on fast and reliable movement of goods through European gateways, especially for time-sensitive shipments.
Stable cargo handling operations also support smoother connections between air, road and warehouse networks. This helps reduce delays in freight movement and improves efficiency for global logistics companies using Amsterdam as a transit point.
dnata has been operating at Schiphol for more than a decade and supports more than 20 cargo and passenger airlines. It handles about 500,000 tonnes of cargo each year at the airport.
Thiemo van Spellen, Managing Director, dnata Netherlands, said the licence reflects trust in dnata’s cargo operations and its focus on safe and consistent handling. He said the company will continue working with Schiphol and airline partners to support efficient cargo flows.
