Dubai CommerCity has expanded its integration with a cross-border e-commerce platform in partnership with Dubai Customs, Dubai Municipality and NAQEL Express to improve the movement of goods between free zones, logistics firms and online retailers.

The platform connects businesses, customs and delivery providers through a blockchain-based digital system that automates processes such as order handling, customs clearance and final delivery. The move is expected to reduce paperwork, shorten processing time and improve shipment tracking for cross-border e-commerce companies operating in Dubai.

Abdulrahman Shahin, Senior Vice President of Operations at Dubai CommerCity, said the integration marked a significant step in strengthening connectivity across the digital commerce ecosystem, linking free zones, regulatory authorities, and logistics providers to enable seamless operations and faster cross-border trade flows.

The system aims at helping businesses manage trade operations faster while improving coordination between regulators and logistics operators. The integration also supports automated product approvals and customs procedures, which could help online sellers move goods more efficiently across markets.

Matar Al Muhairi, Director Client Happiness Department at Dubai Customs, said, “This platform reflects our ongoing commitment to advancing smart customs solutions that directly enhance trade facilitation, improve operational efficiency, and reduce costs for stakeholders, thereby strengthening Dubai’s position as a global trade hub.
