Emirates SkyCargo has expanded its freighter network across East and Southeast Asia, adding more flights to key markets including Japan, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. The move comes as demand grows for cargo connections between Asian manufacturing centres and markets in the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the Americas.

The expansion is expected to improve cargo movement for industries such as electronics, automotive, pharmaceuticals, perishables and e-commerce. More freighter capacity can help exporters move goods faster, improve supply chain reliability and provide businesses with additional shipping options at a time when trade volumes continue to increase.

Badr Abbas, Divisional Senior Vice President, Emirates SkyCargo, said, “East and Southeast Asia are key manufacturing centres for the global economy, making major contributions in high-tech production, perishables exports and global e-commerce flows.”

As part of the network expansion, the carrier has increased freighter services to several locations. Flights to Tokyo’s Narita Airport and Taipei have doubled from one to two per week. Hong Kong now receives 37 weekly freighter flights, while Zhengzhou in central China is served by three weekly freighter services. A weekly freighter service from Singapore to Dubai via Mumbai has also resumed.

The airline continues to operate weekly freighter services to Bangkok and four weekly services to Hanoi. In addition to dedicated freighters, Emirates supports cargo demand through more than 320 passenger flights each week across East and Southeast Asia, providing additional cargo capacity through aircraft bellyhold space.
