Kenya Airways Cargo transported nearly 100 tonnes of cargo from Sharjah to Africa and moved more than 110 tonnes of exports from Kenya to the UAE using a Boeing 747 freighter operating under a capacity purchase agreement. The operation supported the transport of Kenyan perishables to the UAE market and also carried inbound cargo from the UAE, thus maintaining cargo flows amid geopolitical shifts in the region.

By deploying additional freighter capacity, cargo that might otherwise face delays was able to move through the network more efficiently. This is particularly important for Kenyan exporters, many of whom depend on air cargo to transport perishable goods such as fresh produce to international markets within tight timelines.

The movement also helped clear inbound shipments from the UAE into Africa, supporting trade continuity between the two regions. Reliable cargo capacity is essential during periods of disruption because it allows freight forwarders and exporters to keep goods moving without long delays.
