KSA air cargo soars to new heights with 20% growth

In the first quarter of 2024, Saudia Cargo reported 20 per cent increase in volumes, reflecting the industry’s robust demand and advancements, a release stated. This growth is not merely a coincidence, but a result of deliberate efforts and strategic initiatives to enhance the Kingdom’s position as a leading logistics hub. The KSA’s location at the crossroads of three continents—Asia, Africa, and Europe—lends it a unique advantage in the global logistics landscape. It has leveraged this geographic positioning by implementing comprehensive strategies to boost its air cargo capabilities. Central to these efforts is the Saudi Aviation Strategy, part of Vision 2030, which envisions a US$100 billion investment to expand connectivity to over 250 destinations, triple annual passenger traffic, and increase air cargo volume to 4.5 million tons by 2030.
