The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is intensifying efforts to increase its logistics sector’s GDP contribution from 6 to 10 per cent and localise 70 per cent of supply chains under its Vision 2030 programme, said Abhishek Mittal, Head, Industrial Advisory, MENA, JLL. The government’s logistics and infrastructure push, combined with growing online retail, is creating high demand in KSA’s warehousing market. This shift is fuelling major demand for advanced, Grade A warehouses across the Kingdom. According to a new JLL whitepaper, nearly 90 per cent of the Kingdom’s existing warehouse stock remains in outdated Grade B and C categories. But with the surge in e-commerce, food imports, and pharmaceutical needs, investor attention is rapidly turning toward modern facilities that offer cold storage, automation, and last-mile delivery capabilities.
