Air cargo activity in the Middle East and South Asia region continued to grow in the week of June 8–14, according to WorldACD data, even with persistent shifting trends in the Middle East. Volumes increased both week-on-week and year-on-year, showing stable trade movement through the region.
The region recorded a +22% year-on-year rise in cargo volumes, while weekly traffic also increased. Dubai saw a +12% weekly increase in chargeable air cargo, and overall Middle East outbound traffic grew by about +4% week-on-week.
The report shows that cargo flows were not significantly disrupted by regional conflict, with airlines and logistics operators continuing normal operations. This stability helped maintain steady capacity and pricing across global air freight markets.
Growth from the Middle East also supported trade routes to Europe, where shipments rose slightly during the week. The increase was driven by stronger exports from key hubs, including Dubai, and recovering demand in South Asia markets linked to the region.
Stable pricing and unchanged global capacity also helped logistics companies plan shipments more efficiently, without sudden cost or space pressures.
Overall, the data suggests that the Middle East remains an active and growing air cargo hub, with trade flows continuing even during periods of geopolitical uncertainty, supporting smoother regional and global supply chains.
