Qatar sees 19.5% surge in air traffic this January

As per Qatar Civil Aviation Authority report posted in

social media, there is a robust increase in air cargo and mail, showing a surge of 19.5 per cent last month to 201,500 tonnes as against 168,862 tonnes in January 2023. As per the report, an increase of 23.8 per cent was determined in aircraft movements for January 2024, as compared to the same period last year. The data reported 23,994 flight movements, while January 2023 saw19,377 aircraft movements. Qatar’s aviation sector is witnessing a continued momentum with the rising number of aircraft, passengers, cargo, and mail in 2024.
