Qatar Airways Cargo has reaffirmed its humanitarian commitment by transporting 720 tonnes of life-saving aid pro bono over the past five years through its partnership with Airlink and 42 non-profit organisations, said Mark Drusch, Chief Officer Cargo, QR Cargo. This support has helped deliver essential relief to 15.5 million people across 34 countries. Through its WeQare programme — the carrier continues to prioritise humanitarian logistics shipping 136 tonnes of aid in 2024 alone, including medicines, clean water supplies and shelter materials. This translated into US$2.19 million saved in logistics costs for NGOs allowing them to scale up response efforts. Awarded with 2025 Air Transport World Humanitarian Award, QR Cargo supports UNHCR, UNICEF and the World Food Programme transporting 470,000 kg of humanitarian aid in 2024–25 to crisis-affected regions worldwide.
