SolitAir has appointed Dubai's Aviation Training Center (ATC) as its training partner for dangerous goods handling. The move will provide updated training to the airline's staff in line with the latest International Air Transport Association (IATA) rules, helping ensure compliance with global air cargo safety requirements.
The partnership comes as airlines adapt to the 67th edition of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, which became mandatory on January 1, 2026. The latest rules include changes to lithium battery shipments, revised state variations and updated operator requirements. Regular training is required to help staff handle these shipments safely and correctly.
SolitAir said the programme will keep its operational teams up to date on handling dangerous goods, including lithium batteries, flammable liquids and other hazardous cargo transported across its network.
Hamdi Osman, Founder and CEO of SolitAir, said the updated IATA rules highlight the need for current training and added that the partnership will help the airline maintain compliance and strengthen operational safety.
ATC, which is approved by both the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and IATA, provides competency-based training for aviation professionals. CEO Neeraj Arora said the collaboration will support the industry's changing training needs and help strengthen safety standards across air cargo operations.
