The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) Executive Summit 2026, that took place in Warsaw from 1-3 June brought together more than 320 air cargo executives, with sustainability emerging as the key focus of the discussions. Industry leaders who came together examined how to cut emissions, improve efficiency in logistics, and build greener supply chains while managing the rise in global cargo demand. The event was hosted by LOT Polish Airlines and Port Polska.
Besides sustainability, discussions also focused on digitalisation, e-commerce growth, and changing trade flows. Plans linked to a future cargo hub in Central and Eastern Europe were also presented, aimed at improving freight movement across the region.
"The Executive Summit continues to evolve to meet the needs of our industry. This year's introduction of new program elements, combined with strong thought leadership, market intelligence, and networking opportunities, created an exceptional experience for delegates," said Glyn Hughes, TIACA Director General.
Sessions included leadership roundtables and market briefings, where firms such as Cargojet, Air Canada Cargo and CHAMP Cargosystems discussed operational challenges and technology use in air freight. Networking events and new interactive formats were also introduced to increase industry engagement.
The summit highlighted a clear shift in the air cargo sector toward sustainability-driven operations, greater use of digital tools, and stronger collaboration across regions to handle rising global trade flows and e-commerce demand.
